How did we curate our curriculum list?
Navigating the vast array of curriculum options can feel overwhelming, especially with the diverse needs of parents, students, and educational approaches. From the very beginning, we knew the best way to make informed decisions was by tapping into the expertise of those around us—fellow homeschool parents.
For our first year, we gathered 19 experienced homeschooling moms for a brainstorming dinner at Spencer’s Place, a local coffee shop. With a collective 130+ years of homeschooling experience, we discussed the pros and cons of various curriculums, drawing from personal insights to curate an exceptional lineup for the 2024-2025 school year.
As we plan for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, we continue to rely on this collaborative approach. Our curriculum choices are shaped by the needs of our community, allowing us to remain fluid and flexible in adapting to what serves our families best. While we have made some adjustments to our lineup, our core mission remains the same—to provide a curriculum that is both effective and aligned with our Christian values.
"Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers, they succeed." Proverbs 15:22
